Brenda explores island geographies, especially places with borders within urban landscapes. Using an interplay of photography, drawing, print and writing, she researches and documents change. Her images and writings reflect upon identity and isolation, poetic responses to changing physical landscapes.
Brenda's knowledge and skills in management and leadership as a social worker, manager & policy maker in childrens' services for 25 years underpin her support for the ongoing development of the Lady Bay Arts Trail.
Brenda is based in Nottingham and holds a Masters in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University (2012), BA Hons in History & Theory of Art (1978) and a Masters in Social Work (1981) from University of Sussex.
