My interests lie in exploring island geographies within urban landscapes. So intertwining an affinity with these landscapes, which through the acts of walking and research, my drawings, photography and prints intend to evoke island lives and contours. For a number of summers I lived and worked on Iona in the Western Hebrides and my preoccupation with the memories of this time underpins my practice. I regularly revisit with my camper van, sleeping next to the sea and then going further afield to the Outer Hebrides like Berneray. The other part of my practice is coordinating the Lady Bay Arts Festival in Nottingham which takes place every May.
